The Library
History and mission
The Biblioteca Universitaria Medica was established in 2004 as the result of the merger of two academic libraries:
the Biblioteca Medica Centralizzata and Biblioteca di Scienze Morfologiche e Medico Legali.
The library provides literature and information to support research, teaching and study to the Facoltą di Medicina e Chirurgia
and to the departments of the health area:
Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche, Metaboliche e Neuroscienze
Dipartimento di Scienze Mediche e Chirurgiche Materno-Infantili e dell'Adulto
Dipartimento Chirurgico, Medico, Odontoiatrico e di Scienze Morfologiche con Interesse Trapiantologico, Oncologico e di Medicina Rigenerativa
The Medical Library, together with all Unimore libraries, is part of the University Library system of the Ateneo di Modena e Reggio Emilia (SBA)
